The human body is meant to use StrictionD Review digested food for energy. After you eat your body is triggered to release insulin. Insulin is a hormone created by the pancreas. You might begin to notice symptoms or a sign of diabetes when the pancreas either stops producing enough insulin or the body stops responding to it as it should. There are three main types of diabetes. Type 1 is caused when the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the production of insulin. Type 2 is caused when the body begins to ignore insulin. Gestational diabetes occurs during the last few weeks of pregnancy and is a response to hormone shifts and the body not being able to compensate with enough insulin. There is also a condition known as pre-diabetes in which the body is resistant to insulin, but enough insulin is being produced and glucose is moving enough to keep the blood sugar level from hitting diabetic levels. Studies have shown that if the affected person can achieve weight loss and increase their physical activity, they can become more sensitive to insulin and delay or prevent the disease for developing. It is estimated that almost 24 million people in the U.S. or near 8% of the total population have diabetes. This can be a very serious and even life threatening condition. In some case of Type 2 the condition can be reversed. Gestational diabetes stops as soon as the birth is over and the hormones from the pregnancy have been expelled from the body. Diabetes Type 1 is a lifelong condition for most people who develop it. The symptoms or sign of diabetes most often reported is excessive thirst or an increase in appetite, especially after eating. Other symptoms include increased urination, unusual weight loss or gain, fatigue, nausea, blurry vision, increased amount of infections, dry mouth, healing more slowly from cuts or sores, skin irritations or itching skin, especially in the pubic area.
